I’ve been through some ups and downs over the last two years since I had my webpage up—this is actually the third time I put up my webpage. The first time, I had been actively writing my blogs every week about the things I love to read and watch…and you can still see those posts, to some extent, thanks to Goodreads—visit me there to catch up on those. Anyhow, I felt I was doing my webpage a disservice and discontinued it: I was very busy earning my MBA at the European University of Cyprus and was unable to keep up with my writing. That turned out to be a BIG mistake, as I also gave up on my domain name…and, you guessed it, another author stepped in and grabbed that one!
I could have just let the site lie low for a while, yes…I could have done that…and I would not have lost all those threads. However, I’m not a man to dwell on maybes, has and could have beens. I prefer to look forward, and the future is so BRIGHT! Yes it is. Now, my site is up, and I’m real excited about it, and it will never, ever go down again, well…not as long as I’m writing…and guess what? Like R Jordan said, I won’t stop writing until they nail my coffin shut.
You must understand, to a writer, writing is not a hobby, it’s a need, like breathing, like eating, drinking…making love, having children. It is both an escape and something alive, something that grows with the writer. Like Maya Angelou said—that adorable lady—when writing, the muse is finally convinced that you are serious and decides to join you. So I write, and I read to improve on my writing and write some more. I’m like the pictures you see of that man on the typewriter, tick! tick! ticking away.
The long and the short of it is, that I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts for a long time to come, and on this site you will be kept informed of my appearances, my successes, and I hope to be posting some of my short stories on here too, just as soon as I get them published in magazines. Books! Yes, books. Well, on that front, I am actively seeking agent representation, so, if any of you hear of a good one, why not pop me a comment?
